AscendPro™ LAE-20 is a glycerin solution of 20% ethyl lauroyl arginate hydrochloride (LAE). LAE is a cosmetic preservative listed in Annex V EC. It is derived from amino acids and is readily biodegradable. It exhibits excellent safety profile with very low irritation to skin and eyes, and possesses broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties, effectively eliminating Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, molds, and yeasts in cosmetic products. LAE can be used alone or in combination with polyols for formaldehyde-free, benzoate-free, isothiazolinone-free, and phenoxyethanol-free preservative system. AscendPro™ LAE-20 is soluble in water, and easy to formulate into products.
